We are looking for an individual with knowledge of the stainless steel and nickel alloy welding market including MIG, TIG and flux cored products. The role will be to identify potential customers for our products understanding the requirements of both end users and distributors. You will be working alongside our current market development and sales team. A thorough knowledge of the welding market will be required. The role will be both office and field based.
The role will include the following responsibilities:
- Identifying, calling and visiting potential customers
- Converting leads into new business sales
- Developing and managing new products
- Building rapport and relationships with potential and existing customers
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
- Substantial experience in a similar role in the welding industry
- Experience within the engineering industry, technical qualifications are not essential
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience of working to sales targets
- A full driving licence
- A knowledge of Nickel Alloys as well as stainless steel would be beneficial
- The ability to stock manage for Accounts
- An enthusiastic, highly motivated working attitude
You will need to fully understand the products and the market, being able to assist with stock levels, new product development, understand market prices and desired profit targets along with day to day running costs. We are looking for an individual, eager to learn, keen to develop their career with an expanding progressive company. Due to ongoing growth we are looking for an additional sales person based at our Preston head office.
We are an Independent supplier and distributor of stainless steel based in the North West of England with an international customer base. We offer a wide and diverse product range from precision slit coil ,sheet, plate, processed blanks to wire. With our emphasis on high well managed stock levels and our global supply base we have the resources to support and develop your career.
Your role will be to receive and make telephone calls from existing and new potential customers. You will build and maintain strong relationships with customers, providing excellent customer service and support. You will be supported in developing your personal sales strategy, maintaining accurate customer records and developing product and industry knowledge.
You will be enthusiastic, with a good grasp of numeracy and mathematical skills and the potential to develop entrepreneurial skills. Sales experience is not required. We are looking for an individual who is hungry to learn with no barriers to achievement. A background in metal trading or steel distribution would be an advantage.
